Innovative Automation

The company’s innovative streak extends to robots like Proteus and Hercules, akin to robotic vacuums, which are responsible for moving items and containers within the facilities. Sequoia, another robotic system, is designed to lift and sort containers, significantly reducing the physical strain on employees. According to Amazon Robotics’ chief technologist, these advancements have led to a 75% faster inventory storage and a reduction in order processing time by up to 25%.

Amazon reports a decrease in recorded incident rates and lost-time incident rates by 15% and 18% respectively at Robotics sites compared to non-Robotics sites in 2022.
