CrimsonLogic and NewAge Partner to Simplify Customs Compliance for Freight

Strategic Partnership Introduces Advanced Integration for Compliance and Efficiency

Global technology leaders CrimsonLogic and NewAge have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at transforming freight management and customs compliance in North America. The partnership integrates CrimsonLogic’s regulatory filing solution with NewAge’s freight management ERP platform, offering significant time and cost savings for freight forwarders, starting with Canada.

Integrated Technology for Simplified Compliance

CrimsonLogic, a leader in digital trade and port solutions, and NewAge, a global logistics technology innovator, have combined their expertise to address the complexities of customs processes. Their joint solution integrates CrimsonLogic’s Advance Commercial Information eManifest House Bill (ACI eHBL) directly into the NewageNXT freight management ERP platform. This seamless integration automates the transmission of customs data to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), eliminating manual data duplication and streamlining regulatory compliance.

A Boost for Supply Chain Efficiency

For supply chain directors, the collaboration promises to improve operational efficiency and accuracy in customs declaration. By automating eHBL data submission, freight forwarders can save time, reduce compliance errors, and avoid costly fines or shipment delays. The system also delivers real-time shipment and customs clearance updates, enhancing visibility and enabling better decision-making.

Key Features and Operational Enhancements

The integration delivers several targeted benefits:

  • Efficiency Gains: Automation reduces the need for duplicate data entry, cutting down on processing time and labor costs.
  • Improved Accuracy: Minimizing human input reduces errors, ensuring higher-quality submissions.
  • Enhanced Visibility: Real-time tracking of customs and shipment statuses empowers proactive decision-making.
  • Cost Savings: Competitive pricing and flexible contract terms lower operational costs compared to similar eManifest services.

Positive Market Reception and Future Expansion

Early adopters like Blue Arrow Cargo, a customer of both companies, are already reaping the benefits of this solution in Canada. CEO Richard D’Cunha noted that the integration enhances efficiency, visibility, and compliance for both operators and customers.

Looking ahead, CrimsonLogic and NewAge plan to expand this initiative to new regions, leveraging CrimsonLogic’s established global network. Future rollouts could include markets such as Saudi Arabia and Singapore, enhancing the integration’s value for international logistics operations.
